Geneva Airport is the most convenient and probably the best.

Leukerbad is about a 2 hour drive from Geneva airport, either Swiss or French side. The roads to the village are good and also accessible in winter.

Directions from Geneva. Take the motorway to Lausanne – Vevey – Montreux – Sion – Sierre -6km at the end of the motorway to Susten – Then take the mountain road clearly marked Leukerbad (15km).
From Bern take the motorway to Vevey – Sion – Sierre – 6km after the end of the motorway – turn left to Leukerbad (15km)

Alternative from Bern. Bern – Thun – Spiez – Kandersteg – Lotschberg tunnel by Auto Train – Goppenstein – Susten – Leukerbad

Milan is also a real possibility being a 3 ½ hour drive and going over the Simplon Pass

By Rail
A reliable and (typically Swiss) punctual rail service is available from the airport to Leuk. From there you will need to get the mountain bus – it always waits for the train.

Tickets may be ordered in advance on-line from SBB

The bus driver will drop you at the end of the road (300m) if you ask him; otherwise get a taxi from the bus station.

The Swiss card lets you enjoy a 50% discount when taking trips by train i.e. day trips to Zermatt, Interlaken etc.

Auto Train from Brussels - St Maurice
This night train goes from Brussels (Schaerbeek) to St Maurice, then car to Sion Sierre – Susten – Leukerbad.

Directions in Leukerbad.

Turn right immediately after the electric welcome sign. Les Naturelles is 300m on the left in Gribellierstrasse

By car from the UK
The European motorway network makes driving via the Channel tunnel or ferry a real alternative. It takes about 8 hours to drive from Calais and about 4 hours from Paris

Route planner services are available on the net.

If you bring your own car you will need a vignette to use the motorways ( this replaces the toll system and can be obtained from the Swiss tourist office in London
